Can there really be just one true religion?
Oprah says, “No.” Watch as she says, “There can’t possibly be just one way to God.”
Joel Osteen says that Jesus is the only way for him personally, but doesn’t want to follow the consequences of his belief to the fate of anyone else.
How do you respond to people who say things like:
“All religions are basically the same.”
“All religions lead to the same God.”
“If you were born in Morocco, you’d be a Muslim.”
“It’s arrogant and intolerant for you to say that your religion is the only one that’s true.”
“Believing there’s only one way causes people to fight wars and battles.”
We discussed these questions and more on Sunday, June 1, 2008 as part of LifePath’s You Asked for It! series. You can download the mp3 here.
